Rawson Carpet Solutions provide Claysport, a synthetic surface solution for clay tennis courts. The specifically engineered synthetic carpet is adhered to the surface of the court and then clay applied to the finished surface. The specific design of the material provides a key for the clay to maintain its position and so add to the durability and life of the finished surface. The project in question is in France and was supplied by Rawson as an accredited ITF solution for such a sports surface.

The installation is a quick and accurate process whereby the 2m sheets are laid with edges along the length left overlapping. The covering is bonded to the surface using a suitable epoxy adhesive, leaving the seams un-adhered. The surface is left for 24 hours to acclimatise fully to the conditions, then the overlapping edges are cut through to provide a tight perfect seam with no chance of movement and fully bonded to the surface. The clay is then applied to this surface.
